Pre-Pesach Ora Rachel bas Tziporah Bracha Update
We remain everlastingly thankful to Hashem for allowing us to celebrate Ora’s kiddush just a couple weeks ago. It was a special event that seemingly the entire community made sure to attend. Much thanks to Ora’s great-grandparents, Rabbi and Mrs. Salomon Jacobovits from Washington Heights for joining us on this joyous occasion. Likewise, much thanks to Shira Beleck for the hundreds of pieces of sushi that she prepared on Erev Shabbos!
In short, without going into every nitty gritty detail, Ora is continuing to progress nicely and is steadily making improvements.
We know that her progress is part and parcel to all of the Physical Therapy that she has been receiving as well as the Spiritual Therapy in the form of your Tefillos, Torah learning and so on and so forth.
Truth be told, she still has a steep mountain in front of her, as this makkah, this virus, is still something that can potentially strike upon her from head to toe. Likewise, she is still small and a bit fragile.
That said, she continues to show signs of being a stubborn little fighter who also has a warm and bubbly personality!
Accordingly, any Torah learning, Tehillim that you can say or charity that you can give in her merit we would continue to appreciate. At the end of the day, she has only come this far in her overall growth and development due to a steady dosage of both physical and spiritual treatments.
As such, as we head towards the holiday of Pesach, my bracha to you all, is that we merit to experience the ultimate sensation of freedom and healing that will be revealed to the world with the coming of Mashiach ben Dovid!
Anyways, enough from me…on to some recent pictures:
UPDATE: Ora Rachel bas Tziporah Bracha
Sunday, December 21, 2008 / Or le Yom Bet, 25th Kislev, 5769, 1st Night of Chanukah
Dear Friends and Family,
HERE IS THE VERY LATEST UPDATE…ORA RACHEL BAS TZIPORAH BRACHA IS HOME
For nearly two months, it has felt like we were riding a roller coaster in the morning, and not stepping off of it until late into the evening. I’m dizzy just thinking about it! One thing is for sure-if we were to give this ride a name it would be called: Emunah.
After all, with each day in Ora’s life we didn’t know where HaKadosh Baruch Hu was leading us. Frankly, as evident from the fact that we found ourselves back in the hospital for a brief stint on Motzei Shabbos, we still remain unaware of the next twist and turn in Ora’s life. However, Chasdei Hashem Yisbarach, with endless gratitude to the Almighty for His mercy, we would like to inform all of you that after nearly two months and two separate hospitals, Ora Rachel bas Tziproah Bracha finally arrived at her home on Erev Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayishlach.
Unfortunately, Ora still has plenty more to go to get fully better. Indeed, her Ima has truly become an “Executive Assistant” and has filled her calendar with a slew of necessary doctor’s appointments. And yet, the doctors admit that her progress is “excellent” and that there is “much room for continued progress.”
Accordingly, we wanted to firstly take this opportunity to continue to thank Hashem for his seemingly endless kindness and for the lessons that He has/continues to convey to us through our adorable daughter.
As I sit here typing this letter, I’m watching the first of the Chanukah neiros wave hello to the windy Yerushalayim night. Seeing the light of the Menorah reminds me of an instance we will forever treasure-the memory of lighting the Menorah with our THREE children ALL home!
And so, allow us to further proclaim: Thank you Klal Yisrael for your incredible and unrelenting tefillos. Thank you for aiding in her progress, which will IMY”H continue. Frankly, it’s constantly relieving to know that when we are tired and feel sapped of energy-there are still thousands of members of Klal Yisrael the world over who are davening on her behalf.
In truth, there is soo much more to write-so much that I’d love to continue to share. However, things continue to be hectic. Nevertheless I would be remiss to not turn and continue to ask you all to please continue to daven for Ora Rachel bas Tziporah Bracha until a full refuah presents itself IMY”H.
We believe that it’s without coincidence that Ora came home in the month of Kislev-a month that embodies Light. To that end, may we all be zocheh to soon share a world filled with Ora, Simcha, Sasson, V’Yikar!
Chag “urim” SAMEACH!
